It is difficult to give examples for these terms, as only "whose" exists in the English language. When viewing the trail of an identified creature, for example, a Hirgyae might ask, "Akt bitas?" The loose translation of this into English would be "Whose marks?" or "To what do these marks belong?" Later, coming across the same creature's trail, he would observe "akt bitas", the marks that belong to that same unknown being. -

akanadaht - [ ah-kah-nah-daht ]
The possessive form of why, which has no direct English translation. It is often used as a short way to ask the meaning or reason for some result. Instead of asking, "What was the reason for this battle?" a Hirgyae might just ask, "Akanadaht mache?"
Articles
- a
- an
- the
-
h - [ head ] in front of a vowel, [ ha ] in front of a consonant
An article is used only when an object or quality is important or specific. In most cases, "h" is only used as "the" would be used in English, and even then, it is only used when necessary for understanding.
Articles "a"/"an" are usually omitted in Hirgyae. For example: "We will make a path." : "Paka carutek o."
The exception to this would be if an object is important or required to achieve a desired action, as in this example: "We need a blade in order to cut this." : "Paka purvit h'aug nadaha enikyl ek."
