Bishen Realm Contests and Events
There are certain contests and events at Bishen Realm. Some of these are ongoing and can be entered at any time. Others only occur once in a while and will be announced on the 
BishenRealm DeviantArt group.
Caretaker Awards
These awards are handed out by me to dragon adopters as I see fit and cannot be requested. The best way to earn a caretaker award is to adopt and put effort into maintaining your collection of dragons. A full list of adopters who have earned these awards is available in the Caretaker Award Listings.
The Gold Star Award
When a parent takes good care of their Bishel dragon(s), I grant them a Bishen Realm Gold Star Parent Award. The Gold Star Award is the first level in the Bishen Realm caretaker awards. These parents are the models for all other adopters to follow and stand a better chance of getting a rare or special Bishel Dragon. A gold star image will appear next to the caretaker name on any of their adoptions. They also become eligible for the next award level, the Platinum Star.
The Platinum Star Award
The Platinum Star Award is the second level of caretaker award at Bishen Realm. When a parent continually takes good care of their dragons after obtaining a Gold Star Award, they receive a Platinum Star Parent Award. These parents stand a better chance of getting a rare or special Bishel Dragon, and they are eligible for the next award level, the Diamond Star Award. A platinum star image will appear next to the caretaker name on any of their adoptions. Upon receiving a Platinum Star, caretakers will receive a custom toy for each of their dragons and be allowed to request a custom toy for any future dragons they foster.
The Diamond Star Award
The third level of caretaker award at Bishen Realm is the Diamond Star Parent Award. Like other awards, it is earned by adopting multiple dragons and taking spectacular care of them. A diamond star image will appear next to the caretaker name on any of their adoptions. Upon receiving a Diamond Star, the caretaker can request one custom magical object, ability, or attack for each of their dragons. The caretaker can then request a custom magical object, ability, or attack for any future adoption that they raise to Bishen stage.

Legends and Myths
I am forever mentioning the "old ways" and the past of Bishel dragons, but we don't know much about their stories or art. I challenge you to compose a Bishel dragon legend, myth, or faerie tale. You may write a morality story, an enchanted faerie tale for wyrms, an epic poem, a war story, a song, or anything else you can imagine. Entries can also be submitted in other artistic media. Try to create something that Bishel dragons would pass down to the next generation.
The prizes will vary and can include custom items, magical objects, sufan, or dragons. You can make a submission on the Legends and Myths Contest Entries post.
Occasional Events
The Spring Festival
When a White dragon egg is available for adoption at Bishen Realm, a Spring Festival is held. The festival's main event is the fight for the white egg to determine its caretaker, but there are also many other festivities. Dragons and friends come to Bishen Realm to participate in games and contests to win prizes.
The Halloween Contest
In the Halloween contest, adopters create entries around a Halloween theme. The entry can be dark, spiritual, supernatural, autumn... anything connected to Halloweentime. Contest entrants win a random adult dragon based upon their entry. The dragon may be from any clan, and most dragons in the Halloween "clutch" are unrelated.
The Holidays Celebration
This celebration is centered around Christmas, but other holidays are always welcome. The main event is a gift exchange where dragons and adopters can exchange gifts in the form of images, stories, and other forms of art. There are also random giveaways from Bishen Realm for adopters who participate in the gift exchange.
