Dragon Training and Requesting Abilities
Bishen can continue to obtain new magical objects or develop new abilities and attacks. This is done by submitting a request for a new magical object or new ability. Note that, as a cultural rule, Hirgyae dragons do not request magical objects. It is considered a sign of weakness to rely upon an item for magical powers. Machesri are very likely to collect and use magical objects, but they can also train and develop independent magical abilities, just like any other dragon.
Magical Objects
A Machesri will receive its first magical object from its clan at its Shantel. Any other magical objects must be found in their travels. If you wish for your dragon to obtain a new object, you should create a story about that happening. Include a description of the object and the power it provides to your dragon.
Note that magical objects are not always “one size fits all”. Keep your dragon's magical concentration in mind. While it is possible for a dragon to wield different elements, it is much more difficult to control elements far outside its current magical concentration. For example, it would be fairly easy for a dragon with a fire-based magical object to find and control a second fire-based magical object. It would be much harder for that same dragon to find and control a water-based magical object. I may reject magical object requests if the submission is not detailed enough for the power of the object requested. You can always improve your submission and file a new request.
Post a request with your submission. If your request is approved, I will create an image for your magical object and add it to your dragon's information.
Magical Attacks and Abilities
Developing a magical skill requires time and practice. You should create a submission detailing your dragon's efforts to hone their new ability. It will be easier for your dragon to develop a new skill related to their current magical abilities than to develop a skill in a completely unrelated element. Please develop your submission accordingly. I may reject requests for new abilities if I do not feel the submission is detailed enough for the power requested. You can always improve your submission and file a new request.
